Two anti-corruption prosecutors pass external evaluation in Moldova

The commission for prosecutors' evaluation has interviewed two anti-corruption prosecutors: anti-corruption prosecutor Grigore Clevadi and the prosecutor earlier delegated to the Anti-corruption Prosecutor's Office (PA), Irina Catan.

The evaluation panel found no doubts regarding the ethical and financial integrity of the interviewed prosecutors.

"The evaluation is an important step towards enhancing citizens' trust in the prosecution institution and the people who represent it. I am confident that, through our professionalism and integrity, we will contribute to maintaining the high standards assumed with the choice of this profession," said prosecutor Irina Catan.

For his part, prosecutor Grigore Clevadi wished success to his colleagues who are to be evaluated by the Commission.

The evaluation reports for the two prosecutors will be issued within no more than 30 days.
