Moldovan president conveys message of condolence after passing away of well-known guitar player

President Maia Sandu has conveyed condolences to the family, colleagues and all who admired and cherished Master Alexandru Cazacu. The official emphasized that Cazacu has been an important figure in the light music of Moldova.

Maia Sandu highlighted that the artist had marked the history of the Noroc band and left an unforgettable imprint on our culture.

"With profound sadness, I learned about the passing away of Master Alexandru Cazacu, a guitarist who marked the history of the Noroc band and light music in  Moldova. The sound of his guitar resonated in the hearts of thousands of people, bringing joy and emotion on stages at home and abroad, and left an unforgettable imprint on our culture. I convey sincere condolences to the family, colleagues and all who admired and cherished him," Maia Sandu said.

Alexandru Cazacu, guitarist and composer, former member of the legendary  Noroc band, passed away at the age of 75. In 2009, the master was honored with the title of People's Artist for his outstanding contribution to the development of the musical art.
