Renato Usatîi: Mayors of Drochia and Glodeni recently elected as deputies not to assume mandates
Mayors of Drochia and Glodeni, Nina Cereteu and Stela Onuțu, recently elected as deputies in Parliament will not assume their mandates. Our Party leader Renato Usatîi made the statement today.
The decision was made following discussions with the two local elected officials, thereby avoiding anticipated local elections.
Usatîi said that the party he leads will support well-argued initiatives in Parliament and called on political forces to demonstrate responsibility and openness to dialogue.
“Parliamentary factions must support initiatives that serve the people's interest. It's time to listen to the voice of all voters,” said Usatîi.
He emphasized that the new legislature must demonstrate, through actions, what all parties promised during the campaign: the unity of society.
“The Republic of Moldova needs unity, stability, and economic development more than ever. Citizens expect real solutions,” the cited source added.
Following the September 28 elections, six political entities surpassed the electoral threshold and will enter Parliament: Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) - 55 seats; Patriotic Bloc - 26 seats; Alternative Bloc - 8 seats; Our Party - 6 seats; Democracy at Home Party - 6 seats.
