The Chisinau International Airport announces heavy traffic during the summer period. In the context, the airport’s representatives provide recommendations for citizens to avoid delays.
Thus, travelers are encouraged to arrive at the airport three hours before the scheduled flight, as early presentation will allow for all stages to be completed without haste.
At the same time, it is important to be prepared for security checks.
"Liquids and cosmetics must be in containers of a maximum of 100 ml, in a transparent bag of no more than one liter. Remove laptops and tablets from hand luggage. Avoid prohibited items, such as knives, lighters and others. Choose comfortable clothing. Also, make sure to have valid documents at hand: passport, ID card, flight ticket," said the Chisinau International Airport.
The airport registered a significant increase in passenger traffic in June 2025, confirming the upward trend of the summer season. In total, over 620,000 passengers were embarked and disembarked, accounting for 103.4 per cent of the estimated forecast and a 39.7-per cent increase compared to the same month last year.
