The single platform for public consultations particip.gov.md will be modernized so that citizens, civil society, and the business community can benefit from easier and quicker access to information regarding draft decisions proposed by public authorities.
The concept and Regulations of operation of the national public participation portal particip.gov.md were published today in the Official Journal. Thus, the portal will become the single access point for information about public consultations and the stages that draft decisions go through.
Each draft decision will have an electronic file. This will include the relevant documents, the comments and recommendations received, a summary of the proposals, the authorities’ responses, and information about the stage the draft is in.
For citizens, this means greater clarity and easier access to information. Interested individuals will be able to more quickly identify the projects subject to public consultations, subscribe to areas or authorities of interest, and receive notifications when new information appears. They will also be able to submit recommendations online and track how their proposals are examined.
For public authorities, the portal will simplify the organization and monitoring of public consultations. Information about draft decisions will be better structured, and record-keeping will be clearer.
Currently, information about public consultations is posted in different sources and not always in a uniform manner. The new system will centralize this information so that people can more easily follow the path of a decision—from initiation and public consultation to the examination of recommendations and adoption.
The Government Decision approving the Concept and Regulations of operation of the national public participation portal particip.gov.md will enter into force one month after the date of its publication in the Official Journal.
