According to the official, the National Power System is operating stably and is being continuously monitored by engineering teams of the Moldelectrica enterprise.
“Work is continuing to restore a 400 kV line affected by weather conditions, glaze ice and wind,” Junghietu said.
The minister specified that, at some locations, electricity may still be unavailable due to local faults, which are being repaired by the distribution operators’ intervention teams. Citizens are urged to report any disruptions to the operators’ dispatch centers, at the following phone numbers: 022 43 11 11 – Premier Energy Distribution and +373 231 24 201 – RED-Nord stock company.
At the same time, the official called on the population to use electricity responsibly.
“We ask citizens to show understanding and to use electricity rationally, in particular by avoiding switching on large household appliances,” the minister said.
Dorin Junghietu thanked employees of the energy sector, as well as colleagues from Romania and Ukraine, for their support.
“I would like to thank all energy sector colleagues, including from Ukraine – NPC Ukrenergo – and Romania – Transelectrica, for the efforts made today to reconnect the system and ensure its proper operation in continuation,” the official noted.
