Prosecutor Petru Iarmaliuc passes external integrity assessment

Prosecutor Petru Iarmaliuc has passed the external assessment. The Evaluation Commission concluded that he met the ethical and financial integrity criteria.

Petru Iarmaliuc, a prosecutor delegated to the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Causes (PCCOCS), became subject to the assessment in his previous capacity as a prosecutor delegated to the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

In the case of Lilian Lungu, a prosecutor at the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, who has been suspended from office, the Commission proposed that he fail the external assessment, due to the late submission of asset and personal interests’ declarations, information regarding close associates and the ethics questionnaire.

The reports were submitted to the Superior Council of Prosecutors, which is to examine them and issue decisions on the assessment’s results.
