
IGP: Fragments found in Ceadîr-Lunga belong to Russian drone
The National Police provides details about the drones that flew over Moldova's airspace at night and exploded on our territory. According to preliminary investigations, the fragments found in Ceadîr-Lunga belong to a Russian drone.
One of the drones crashed on an agricultural field near the village of Ciumai, Taraclia district. The other exploded on a field approximately 1.5 kilometers from Ceadîr-Lunga.
According to the Police, experts from the technical-explosive section are on-site where the two drones fell and are conducting investigations. The drones will be thoroughly examined.
"From preliminary investigations, the fragments found in Ceadîr-Lunga belong to a Russian drone," the Police said.
Two drones loaded with explosives flew over Moldova's airspace on the evening of February 12. The drones exploded near the localities in Taraclia and Ceadîr-Lunga districts, according to the Border Police. No one was harmed as a result of the explosion.
