
Moldovan Foreign Affairs Ministry comes up with reaction following security incident in Gaza Strip
The Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) has informed that it was keeping a close eye on the situation related to the security incident which had occurred in the Gaza Strip on 19 March, in the wake of which a Moldova’s citizen, member of the United Nations mission, was wounded.
According to the quoted source, Moldova’s Embassy in Tel Aviv and the Permanent Representation under UNO in New York are in touch with the authorities and international partners, in order to clear up the circumstances.
According to a press release issued by UNO, a Moldovan citizen was among the people wounded in the wake of an attack on a base of the United Nations Organization from Deir al-Balah in Gaza Strip.
The attack, assigned to an Israeli tank, killed one UN employee from Bulgaria and wounded another six members of the staff, who come from France, Moldova, North Macedonia, Palestine and the United Kingdom.
The UNO demanded a full and unbiased investigation.
