Country leadership congratulates servicemen on National Army Day
President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu and Speaker Igor Grosu have sent congratulatory messages to servicemen, veterans and their families on the 34th anniversary of the National Army.
The head of state emphasized that the National Army is "an institution of courage and discipline, a symbol of devotion to the Republic of Moldova."
The Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces stated that peace must be protected daily by a modern and well-equipped army, and the state's investments in equipment, better living conditions, and social protection are proof that "the country cares for those who care for the country."
"For tranquility to prevail, any aggressor must know that the Republic of Moldova is not powerless. That is why we invest in new equipment and facilities, as well as in better service and living conditions, in social protection, and among risks," the president said.
Maia Sandu also paid tribute to the fallen soldiers, reminding that the duty of today's generations is to preserve peace and freedom.
