Over 700 schools of Moldova to use Electronic Catalog this year

The digitalization of the educational process is becoming more accessible for students and parents in the 2025-2026 academic year, with over 700 general education institutions of Moldova (about 60 per cent of the total) set to use the Electronic Catalog Information System (SICE).

According to the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC), the platform facilitates direct communication between teachers and parents and provides access to information regarding pupils’ performance and attendance — grades, absences, teachers’ comments, as well as covered material and homework assignments. Compared to the previous year, when only 50 per cent of schools used the system, the number is increasing.

During September 9-15, MEC will organize online training sessions for schools implementing SICE for the first time and information sessions for institutions already using the platform.

The updated list of participating institutions and access instructions for parents are available on MEC’s official website: https://mec.gov.md/ro/content/catalogul-electronic.
