Moldovans can travel visa-free to the United Arab Emirates. Starting today, 4 September 2025, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on mutual abolition of visas comes into effect.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the document was signed on 4 August in Abu Dhabi by Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi and his Emirati counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan.
Under the agreement, citizens of the Republic of Moldova will be able to travel to the United Arab Emirates without a visa for a period of up to 90 days within 180 calendar days.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes that the measure will facilitate free movement, boost interpersonal contacts, and open new opportunities for business, tourism, and cultural cooperation.
“This achievement represents an important step in strengthening bilateral relations with the United Arab Emirates and reflects the mutual openness to expand cooperation in areas of common interest,” states the MFA communiqué.
