More settlements of Moldova disconnected from power supply because of weather conditions
More settlements of Moldova are currently disconnected from electricity due to adverse weather conditions.
According to data provided by Premier Energy Distribution stock company, in the center-south area, 132 consumers in Cantemir district, Gotesti locality, are affected by weather conditions. At the same time, 187 low-voltage network malfunction cases have been reported in more districts of the country, which may have various causes and are not necessarily determined by weather conditions.
To remedy the situation, 29 intervention teams have been mobilized, each consisting of two to five people, depending on the specifics of the work needed.
In the northern area, the RED-Nord stock company reported unplanned outages that affected 3,378 consumers in Sangerei and Briceni districts. In Sangerei district, the localities of Taura Veche and Taura Noua were hit, where 304 consumers were disconnected. In Briceni district, adverse weather conditions caused power supply interruptions in the localities of Caracusenii Vechi, Trestieni, Balcauti, Colicauti, Groznita, Marcauti and Mihaileni, affecting 3,074 consumers.
The Energy Ministry specifies that distribution system operators are constantly monitoring the situation in the field and are intervening to restore electricity supply as quickly as possible.
The authorities urge citizens to report any incident to the DSOs’ dispatcher centers: tel.: 022 43 11 11 (Premier Energy Distribution) or tel.: +37323124201 (RED Nord).
