
Number of people accommodated in tourist structures of Moldova increases by 21 per cent in 2024
The number of people accommodated in tourist structures of Moldova increased by 21.1 per cent in 2024 against the year before.
According to the National Statistics Bureau (BNS), more than a half of the 474,000 people accommodated in tourist structures of the country in the last year were foreign citizens.
Increases in accommodations of tourists were recorded in hotels and motels, tourist and agro-tourist boarding houses, sanatorium structures and vacation camps.
Most tourists accommodated were from Ukraine (38.1 per cent), Romania (20.1 per cent), United States, Israel, Turkey, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Russia and Poland.
BNS’ data also shows that the average length of stay of a tourist in the reception structures of Moldova was of 4.3 days.
