Leușeni and Sculeni border crossing points blocked following farmers’ protests
Access to Leușeni and Sculeni border customs posts is temporarily blocked following protests organized by farmers. The competent authorities are on site to maintain public order and manage traffic.
According to the Customs Service, at present vehicle traffic to these posts is not possible. In this context, the customs authority recommends that cross-border traffic participants choose to cross the border through the following posts: Cahul–Oancea, Giurgiulești–Galați, and Leova–Bumbăta.
The Customs Service will provide updated information.
Farmers from several localities across the country held protests yesterday and today, expressing dissatisfaction, including with certain provisions of the draft fiscal policy for next year.
