Seven species of animals first ever brought to Chisinau-based Zoo

Chisinau, 20 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau-based Zoological Garden has bought 31 animals.  

Seven out of the 31 species have been brought to the Zoological Garden of Chisinau for the first time ever; it is about a lemur, caracal (African lynx), serval, Patagonian mara, capybara, mountain goats, she-wolves and monkeys. The animals were brought from Russia, the zoos of Novosibirsk and Khabarovsk.     

Presently, the new animals are in quarantine and visitors will be able to admire them in next spring. Meanwhile, new lofts and spaces are prepared for the animals recently purchased.   

At the same time, the Zoo negotiates with other Zoological Parks from Europe, in order to bring several lions to Chisinau.   

At present, the Chisinau Zoological Garden has more than 1,100 animals from all continents, animals and birds of 169 species.
