Deputy chief prosecutor of Moldova's Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office heard by evaluation commission

Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office (PA) Ion Pripa today was heard by the Prosecutors’ Evaluation Commission, as part of the procedure for verifying ethical and financial integrity, conducted under Law No. 252/2023.

The public hearing focused on clarifying more aspects related to his assets. Members of Evaluation Panel F asked for explanations on the difference between the purchase price and the sale price of an apartment he had previously owned, the expenses for renovation works at another property, as well as the circumstances of the import and use of a specially designated vehicle.

During the hearing, the prosecutor said that he had provided all available information and called for an objective examination of the case.

“I have made every effort to be honest with the Commission and to provide all information I have. I hope for a fair and objective approach to the circumstances discussed,” said Ion Pripa.

The evaluation is part of a broader process of verifying the integrity of prosecutors, launched by the authorities to strengthen transparency and public trust in the justice system. The Commission’s decision is to be announced after the analysis of all information submitted.
