Speaker invites citizens and MPs to Open Doors Day at parliament

Speaker Igor Grosu has invited citizens, as well as MPs to Open Doors Day, which will be organized tomorrow afternoon at the Legislative building. Access to the Parliament will be based on an identity card, while children do not need ID but must be accompanied by an adult.

The official noted that on Friday, May 23, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the Parliament will open its doors wide to all citizens who want to learn more about the activities of the people's representatives.

The Speaker mentioned that tomorrow, the deputies and visitors of the Legislative will also enjoy a special artistic moment.

The event program includes interactive activities for all age groups. There will be a dedicated space for children where little visitors can draw, arrange puzzles, and learn curiosities about the Parliament by solving crossword puzzles. A face painting session will be organized for them as well.

There will be a bag decoration workshop for visitors of different ages. Also, those wanting to test their knowledge on parliamentarism and democracy can participate in online or physical quizzes, where those providing the correct answers will receive gifts.

Guided tours for visitors will be organized at the Parliament building, with guides being deputies and institution officials. The route will include the Parliament Museum, the plenary hall, the Europe Hall, and other spaces where legislative activity occurs. The bravest may simulate a press conference or a simultaneous translation exercise.

On the occasion of the Open Doors Day, three thematic exhibitions will be set up.

During the event, participants will have the opportunity to talk with the deputies and leave messages, suggestions, or questions for the parliamentarians in a specially arranged box in the Parliament square.
