Several employees of the U.S. Embassy in Chisinau, along with their families went apple picking in an orchard in the village of Radeni, Straseni district, thus enjoying a beautiful American autumn tradition.


“This weekend, U.S. Embassy families enjoyed the American autumn tradition of apple picking, right here in the Republic of Moldova. We spent a wonderful morning in an orchard in Radeni, savoring delicious fruits with family and friends,” announced the diplomatic mission.


The United States and the Republic of Moldova have built a strategic bilateral partnership for over 30 years, and agriculture is one of the fields of collaboration between the two countries, contributing to the prosperity of both nations.

The volume of Moldova's foreign trade with the U.S. in 2023 recorded values of 184.54 million dollars. Exports to the U.S. amounted to 61.63 million, while imports were 122.91 million dollars.

Currently, 353 enterprises with American capital are operating in the Republic of Moldova. In terms of the value of invested capital, the U.S. ranks 7th among the main investors in Moldova.
