Two more Moldovan prosecutors pass external evaluation; Superior Council of Prosecutors approves vetting reports

The Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP) today convened at a meeting and unanimously approved the Vetting Commission’s reports regarding prosecutors Vitalie Codreanu and Gheorghe Bors. The two have passed the external evaluation.

Following deliberations, the CSP approved the evaluation reports issued by the Vetting Commission, noting that both prosecutors had passed the external evaluation.

In addition to the vetting reports, the Council also approved the regulation on combining the office of prosecutor with teaching, scientific activities and participation in collegiate bodies at public authorities or institutions.

CSP also ruled to organize a competition for selecting the candidate for the position of Liaison Prosecutor of Moldova at Eurojust, as well as to extend until February 15 the competition for electing members of the Disciplinary and Ethics Board from among representatives of civil society.

Also today, the CSP decided that President of the Council, Dumitru Obada, will take part in the joint meeting of the Legal Committees of the parliaments of Romania, Moldova, Ukraine and Albania, which will take place on January 22–25.
