Road maintenance crews continue interventions on national routes amid snowfall in recent hours. Teams are carrying out snow removal and spreading anti-skid material, in order to ensure the safety of road users. Increased attention is being paid to uphill road segments, dangerous curves, intersections, road junctions, routes with heavy traffic and areas with a higher risk of black ice formation.
According to the National Road Administration (AND), today morning, the territorial units of the joint stock company "Drumuri" (Roads) intervened on more road segments, including in Soroca – R14 and R7, Briceni – R11, Ocnita – R8 and R8.1, Floresti, Chisinau – M1, Ceadar-Lunga – R36 and G35, Stefan Voda – R31, and others.
The Operative Service has received 22 notifications during the night and up to this hour, of which 15 via the 112 Service, five calls from the National Public Security Inspectorate (INSP) and two calls from citizens.
AND urges road users to exercise increased caution in traffic, adjust their speed to weather and road conditions, avoid dangerous overtaking, and ensure that vehicles are properly equipped for winter.
