Sheriff Tiraspol team managed historic victory in match with Real Madrid

Chisinau, 29 September /MOLDPRES/- Sheriff Tiraspol managed last night a historic away victory at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, score 2-1, in the match with Real Madrid, in the 2nd stage of the UEFA Champions League group stage.

In front of over 24 thousand spectators, the Tiraspol team opened the score in the first half and entered the break with an advantage but was equalized by a shot from 11 meters in the second half of the match. The winning goal was scored by Sebastien Thill in the 90th minute.

After this victory, Sheriff Tiraspol leads Group D with a maximum score of six points.

The victory obtained by the team from Tiraspol aroused a real wave of reactions in the international press, which praised the performance of the champion of the Republic of Moldova.
