The parliamentary elections held on September 28 in the Republic of Moldova caught the attention of the international press, being widely covered by journalists accredited both from within the country and abroad.
According to the Central Electoral Commission, several dozen media representatives were accredited for the elections, including correspondents from international institutions. They reported on the conduct of the electoral process, the atmosphere in the polling stations, and the voter mobilization both in the country and abroad.
The central topics addressed by the foreign press focused on the massive participation of citizens, the test of resilience in the face of disinformation campaigns, and the importance of this election for the future European path of the Republic of Moldova.
