Prime Minister of Romania Ilie Bolojan began his working visit to Moldova at Leușeni–Albița border crossing point, accompanied by Prime Minister Dorin Recean. The two officials held an official meeting at the Government and held a press conference.

Ilie Bolojan: “I assure you that we will continue to build new bridges to bring us even closer together, as is fit between sister countries that share a language, a history, and common values. We are living an important stage for the progress of the Republic of Moldova on the European path. In this context, Romania will remain a strong supporter of Moldova's European journey, providing support with our expertise, the experience gained during years of EU membership, and through European bilateral and cross-border cooperation frameworks.”

Dorin Recean: “Relationship between the Republic of Moldova and Romania has been built over the years on ties between people on both banks of the Prut River, as it is rooted in our consciousness. It cannot be destroyed by time or politicians, but it can be strengthened to ensure our resistance to any foreign challenges and to resolve citizen issues as quickly as possible. With Ilie Bolojan as Prime Minister and Nicușor Dan as President, the relations between Chișinău and Bucharest have been elevated to the most fraternal level.”
