Travel operators and journalists from Israel, China, Turkey, Armenia, the United Arab Emirates, and India participated in an informative tour organized by the National Tourism Office of the Republic of Moldova, discovering the country's attractions, gastronomy, and authentic traditions. Simultaneously, local tourism professionals, guides, travel agents, and local journalists explored northern Moldova, visiting representative destinations in Râșcani and Edineț districts.

For three days, foreign tourists discovered Moldova's main attractions, visiting Cricova Winery with its underground galleries and local wines, Curchi Monastery, a place of peace and beauty, and Orheiul Vechi Cultural-Natural Reserve. Participants of BigFamTripMoldova2025 continued their exploration on the left side of the Dniester, starting with Tighina (Bender) Fortress, followed by a tour of Tiraspol, lunch at the Back in USSR Restaurant, and ending the day with a tasting of local drinks at Kvint Factory.

“We welcome our guests from the seven countries! Here in the Republic of Moldova, they have much to discover: delicious gastronomy, cultural heritage, and natural landscapes. Northern Moldova is rich in tourist attractions, and what they saw today is just a small part, so many more discoveries await,” said Valentin Ceban, head of the Product Development and Tourism Infrastructure Section.

The group consisting of local tourism professionals, guides, travel agents, and local journalists visited Duruitoarea Veche Cave and Gorge, the local museum and “Hanul Cu Noroc” Guesthouse, Edineț Region Museum, and the Jewish Cemetery in Edineț, as well as Zăbriceni Monastery, the country's only eco-certified monastery, known for Bio Cămara teas.

“These visits promote Moldova's authentic values, cultural heritage, natural landscapes, and sustainable tourism—encouraging a better understanding and promotion of local destinations both nationally and internationally. The Republic of Moldova is becoming increasingly present on the international tourism map, offering authentic experiences, emotions, and stories that remain in the heart of every visitor,” said Andrei Chistol, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Culture.

The purpose of the informative tour was to support tourism professionals in discovering and promoting the natural and cultural heritage of Northern Moldova, encouraging the development of responsible and sustainable domestic tourism. The event was organized by the National Tourism Office in partnership with the Tourism Industry Employers Association of Moldova - APIT, with support from the Ministry of Culture.
