Moldova to celebrate World Wine Tourism Day 2025 with professional event at local winery

The Republic of Moldova joins the celebration of World Wine Tourism Day 2025 with a major professional event organized on November 9 at Château Vartely (Orhei). The event is dedicated to specialists and collaborators in the tourism industry and aims to strengthen partnerships between the fields of tourism, culture and winemaking—three essential pillars of national identity.

The forum is organized by the National Association of Tourism Industry in the Republic of Moldova (APIT), in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, the National Tourism Office (ONT), and the National Office for Vine and Wine (ONVV), with the support of Château Vartely Winery.

World Wine Tourism Day 2025 – Moldova will bring together tour operators, guides, destination managers, wine producers, representatives of authorities, and industry experts in a professional networking setting. Participants will have the opportunity to discover premium wine tastings from Château Vartely; thematic presentations on the development of wine tourism, sustainability and international market trends; dialogue sessions and partnerships between operators, institutions, and organizations in the industry; traditional Moldovan lunch and select cultural program, which will complete the authentic atmosphere of the event, explains the National Tourism Office (ONT).

According to the organizers, the purpose of this edition is to strengthen the image of the Republic of Moldova as a European wine tourism destination, promoting local experiences, cultural heritage and the values of communities in the wine regions.

Wine tourism means more than tastings—it is a story about identity, people and territory. This day is an opportunity to strengthen collaboration between tourism and winemaking professionals, to share experiences and to build together an authentic image of Moldova. Participation is free but exclusively by registration, indicates ONT.

Through the initiative, Moldova reaffirms its position as an authentic destination of wine and hospitality, where tradition intertwines with innovation and local culture.
