
Several COVID-19 sections reopening in Moldova
Chisinau, 10 August /MOLDPRES/- Several medical institutions in the country have decided to reopen the wards for COVID-19 patients, as the number of infections increases.
Thus, according to the Ministry of Health, in the last ten days, the departments for patients with COVID-19 in Cahul, Bălți, Ceadâr-Lunga, Comrat and others were reopened.
Also in the capital, at the Republican Clinical Hospital Timofei Moşneaga, a COVID-19 intensive care unit was reopened at the beginning of this week, with a capacity of 14 beds, but with the possibility to increase the number of seats.
Earlier, the profile authorities announced that they will activate the COVID-19 sections in the localities where the daily number of diseases increases significantly.
In the last 24 hours, 4,400 tests were processed in the Republic of Moldova, confirming 177 cases of infection with the new coronavirus, including 18 imports. Thus, 260,807 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the country so far.
