On 1 June, UNDP and EU organize concert at Tighina fortress inspired by Disney movie music

A concert funded by the European Union and organized by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will take place on 1 June 2025 at Tighina (Bender) fortress. Inspired by the music from Disney films, 50 musicians from both banks of the Dniester will perform the famous melodies within the fortress walls.


“It has already become a tradition for Tighina (Bender) fortress to host concerts by the National Youth Orchestra of Moldova each year. The concert on June 1 will be the seventh concert. The program will consist of two parts – Disney music and, at the public's request – Oscar movie music. This includes Disney: Aladdin, Tom and Jerry, Frozen, Moana, The Lion King, Anastasia, Alice in Wonderland, Coco, and A Monster in Paris; and Oscar: Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Game of Thrones, Gladiator, Inception, Interstellar, Matrix, The Dark Knight, Schindler’s List, Terminator, Mortal Kombat, Dune and The Intouchables (1+1),” states UNDP.


The concert is organized with financial support from the European Union through the EU's Confidence Building Measures program, implemented by UNDP.
