Moldovan foreign affairs minister addresses security challenges faced by Moldova, measures taken to counter threats

The current security challenges faced by Moldova, the measures taken by the Moldovan authorities to counter these threats, as well as the impact of hybrid warfare on Eastern Partnership countries have been addressed by Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs Minister Mihai Popsoi in his speech at public event titled, The Defining Point of the European Union, organized during the Warsaw Security Forum, under the auspices of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Deputy PM Mihai Popsoi participated in the panel titled, Europe Under Siege: Seeking a Unified Response to Russia's Hybrid Warfare, alongside Latvia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Baiba Braže and former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Transformation Philippe Lavigne.

The minister reaffirmed the firm commitment of Moldova to strengthening institutional resilience and continuing the country's European path. At the same time, the official highlighted the need for a quick, coordinated and united response on behalf of the European Union and international partners, both in preventing and countering hybrid threats.

The event brought together high-ranking officials, security experts and academic representatives, who participated in a string of debates focused on the most pressing security and defense challenges.
