Summer camp preparations begin: Government provides conditions for children's and teenagers' recreation
Government has approved measures for organizing and monitoring children's and teenagers' recreation during the summer season of 2025. The decision aims to guarantee a safe, healthy and educational environment in summer camps, as well as ensure access for vulnerable categories of children.
Thus, the costs for 25% of the total number of tickets in the camps will be fully covered, while the remaining tickets will be sold by local public administrations with an 80% discount.
Free tickets will be provided to children in difficulty, those left without parental care, children from disadvantaged families and those from large families. Also, free tickets will be distributed to children of war veterans, those with disabilities, refugees, as well as students who have achieved academic excellence or have won in school and extracurricular olympiads.
At the same time, the Ministry of Education and Research will purchase 495 tickets for students from general education institutions in the eastern districts of the Republic of Moldova and Bender, under the ministry's jurisdiction.
The cost for one day of recreation varies between 301 and 458 lei, depending on the type of camp. According to the document, by 15 May all camps with accommodation should be fully prepared and adequately equipped, while day-stay camps should be ready by 25 May.
