Natural gas' consumption decreases by 47 per cent in Moldova in last April
As much as 49.3 million cubic meters of natural gas were consumed in last April, down by 47.3 percent against March 2025 and which is by 67.7 per cent more than in April of the last year.
According to data by the Moldovagaz Company, the payment level for the natural gas consumption for the volume provided up to April 30, 2025 is 97.6 per cent, amounting to 5.319 billion lei.
More specifically, by April 30, household consumers paid 95.5 per cent of the amounts invoiced in 2025. For non-household consumers, the transfer share stood at 97.7 per cent. Energy and thermal sector companies of Moldova have paid their invoices in full.
On the reference period, 415 consumption units were disconnected from the natural gas distribution network, because of debts amounting to 2.857 million lei.
