Fuel prices continue to decrease

The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) announced today that there is a stabilization trend in the fuel market, with increasingly clear signs of price decreases.

Thus, after a period of instability, in the first two weeks of August, the maximum retail prices of fuels have shown a slow evolution, with a slight downward trend. According to ANRE, this was influenced by the decrease in Platts quotations and the moderate appreciation of the national currency against the US dollar.

Thus, in the last 14 days, standard diesel has significantly decreased in price from 20.33 lei/liter to 19.63 lei/liter, down by 0.7 lei per liter. COR 95 petrol varied from 23.10 lei/liter at the beginning of the period to 23.07 lei/liter, recording an insignificant reduction of 0.03 lei/liter.

Under these conditions, for tomorrow, ANRE set a maximum price of 23.07 lei for petrol, down by 0.07 lei. At the same time, diesel is reducing by 0.09 lei and will cost at most 19.63 lei per liter.
