Moldovan deputy PM pays unannounced visits to road maintenance companies

Deputy Prime Minister, Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Vladimir Bolea today paid unannounced visits to the JSC Drumuri (Roads) Cimislia and JSC Drumuri Hancesti, in order to discuss with representatives of the local companies how roads are maintained during winter in the localities of the region.

The official inspected how well the companies are prepared for the winter season, whether there are sufficient stocks of technical salt, in what condition the snow removal machinery and equipment are, how the buildings are maintained and what the real intervention capacity in the field is.

“Road workers’ activity is extremely important and responsible, especially in the weather conditions we are currently experiencing. Special attention is paid to sloped road segments, dangerous curves, intersections road junctions, routes with heavy traffic or with high risk of ice formation.

The State Road Administration urges traffic participants to exercise increased caution, adapt their speed to weather and road conditions, avoid dangerous overtaking and ensure that vehicles are properly equipped for winter.
