Collaboration Memorandum between Moldova and Albania signed in Tirana
A Collaboration Memorandum between Moldova and Albania was signed by Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Gherasimov and Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani during a meeting in Tirana, in the context of the European Political Community Summit.
“Moldova and Albania share the same aspiration – to become EU member states. Being in Tirana, I was pleased to meet again with Igli Hasani, Albania's Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs,” announced Cristina Gherasimov.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that she discussed with Igli Hasani the European agenda of both countries, the progress each has made on their path to the EU, and how they can assist each other.
The two officials signed a Collaboration Memorandum that will allow the parties to exchange experiences and best practices between institutions, cooperate more closely in key areas, and harness the technical expertise gained during the negotiation process.
“We have much to learn from each other. Together, we will be better prepared in the greater European family,” concluded Cristina Gherasimov.
Gherasimov was part of the delegation led by head of state Maia Sandu at the sixth edition of the European Political Community Summit, held in Tirana, Albania.
