Voters from Moldova most active in diaspora

By 12:30 PM, over 10,000 Moldovans with Romanian citizenship have exercised their right to vote in Romania's presidential elections. In total, by this time, about 45,000 Romanians abroad have participated in the election.

Voter turnout is higher than two weeks ago when the first round of voting took place. Active participation is also registered in Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain and France.

Romanian citizens in Moldova can vote at 64 polling stations. These are open from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. In the northern region of the country, 18 polling stations are organized, in the central region 38 polling stations, of which 20 are in Chisinau, and in the southern region - 8 polling stations.

In the first round of Romania's presidential elections, about 91,000 Moldovans with Romanian citizenship voted over three days.

In Romania's presidential elections, 965 polling stations were opened outside the country. At these locations, Romanian citizens who are abroad on election day can vote. This is regardless of whether they have or do not have a residence or domicile outside the country. Romanian citizens in the diaspora have three days available to vote.

Two candidates are participating in the presidential race: AUR party candidate George Simion and independent candidate Nicușor Dan.
