Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister on visit to Tallinn
Whenever the Republic of Moldova needed support, Estonia has been there with concrete assistance and a strong voice in supporting our European path, for which we are grateful. This message was conveyed today by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi, during an official visit to Tallinn.
During the visit, the official held meetings with President of the Estonian Parliament (Riigikogu) Lauri Hussar, Chairman of the European Affairs Committee Peeter Tali and Estonia–Moldova Parliamentary Friendship Group, led by Luisa Rõivas.
“The cooperation between the parliaments of the Republic of Moldova and Estonia is excellent, particularly through the activities of the permanent committees and the friendship parliamentary group. Moldova and Estonia are more than partners – they are trustworthy friends who we can rely on. Whenever our country needed help, Estonia has been there with concrete assistance and a strong voice in supporting our European path, for which we are grateful,” Popșoi said.
The Deputy Prime Minister also welcomed the close collaboration between the foreign policy committees of the two parliaments, as well as cooperation within the NB8 format.
“Strengthening inter-parliamentary dialogue is important, particularly through intensifying experience exchanges and organizing mutual visits at the level of committees and the friendship group,” Popșoi emphasized.
