BTA: High-rise Residential Building, Energy Facility Damaged in Russian UAV Attack in Odesa Region

A Russian drone attack on Tuesday morning caused damage to civilian and energy infrastructure in Odesa Region, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper said. According to Kiper, “at dawn the enemy again attacked the civilian infrastructure of Odesa Region. The strikes were aimed at residential areas and energy facilities".

In the city of Chornomorsk, Southwestern Ukraine, a drone hit a multi-story residential building, Kiper added, “the facade and windows were damaged. Information about casualties has not yet been received, data is being clarified." Damage to an energy infrastructure facility in the Odesa Oblast was also recorded.

Bulgarians in Odesa Region number more than 150,000 and were the third largest population group in Ukraine in 2001, according to the official census. About 50,000 - 60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odesa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
