Moldovan PM has dialogue with representatives of international organizations, agencies in Moldova

The priorities of the governing programme and the areas of cooperation with development partners today were discussed by Prime Minister Vasile Tofan and representatives of international organizations and agencies operating in Moldova.

The PM thanked the international partners for their constant support to the country, noting that the assistance provided by them had played an important role in overcoming the crises of recent years and advancing in key areas of modernization.

"The support of our partners is essential for implementing reforms and achieving the development objectives of Moldova. Therefore, you will have in the government an open, transparent and responsible partner in managing public resources. Through integrity, concrete result, and an honest dialogue with citizens, we will rebuild trust in the state and will together achieve the changes our country needs," said Prime Minister Vasile Tofan.

The prime minister presented the main directions of the governing programme: advancing the process of European integration, developing the economy and building an efficient state capable of better responding to citizens’ needs. In the context, the PM emphasized the need to direct international assistance towards increasing the capacity of public administration to implement reforms, manage complex projects and deliver concrete results for people.

Among the topics addressed were the current challenges in the energy sector, the hydrological situation of the Dniester River, cooperation in the field of security and defense, infrastructure development projects, strengthening the economy and developing the labour market. Special attention was given to measures that can help increase women’s participation in the labour market and better harness their potential in the economy.
