Moldovan government offers one-off aid for families with children and people with disabilities during Easter holidays
The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the decision to provide one-off financial support to families with children under 5 years old, children with disabilities and adults with severe disabilities. In total, over 230,000 people will benefit from this aid.
According to the project, children born between 1 April 2020 and 30 April 2025 will receive a support of 1,500 lei each. Children with disabilities, who are beneficiaries of state allowances will receive 5,000 lei. Adults with severe disabilities will also receive 5,000 lei.
This aid is part of the largest financial support package ever allocated by the Government - Budget +Plus. The total value of the assistance is 470 million lei. Payments will be disbursed starting from 2 May and will be provided to families through 3 methods: on the existing social card, on the bank card identified by the Government and entered into the databases of the National House of Social Insurance, or in cash at post offices.
The one-off aid will be offered to all families in the Republic of Moldova, as well as those living in the diaspora. For this reason, cash withdrawals will be possible from 2 May until the end of this year for citizens who are not in the country and cannot collect the money immediately. All beneficiaries will receive an SMS notification about the payment.
