Moldova's Commission for awarding of National Prize nominates laureates for 2025 edition
This year's winners of the National Prize have been selected at a meeting of the Commission for the awarding of the National Prize, chaired by Prime Minister Dorin Recean. For the 2025 edition, 26 files were submitted, which show the achievements made over the past year in the fields of art, science, literature, cinematography, culture, medicine and sports.
Prime Minister Dorin Recean highlighted the significant contribution of the candidates to developing the sectors in which they operate and emphasized the importance of recognizing these achievements. "We must use these opportunities to showcase our talents. Thank you for being part of this effort to promote outstanding performances and personalities," said Dorin Recean.
The submitted files were reviewed by the Commission’s members and the laureates were selected through a secret ballot. The list of winners will be approved at the cabinet meeting, after which details on the award ceremony will be announced.
The government annually grants up to ten prizes, each consisting of a diploma, a medal and a financial reward of 100,000 lei.
