The unified emergency service 112 of Moldova will be modernized and aligned with European digital standards, following a joint commitment signed by Interior Minister Daniella Misail-Nichitin and the first deputy director of the Special Telecommunications Service in Romania, Ionel-Sorinel Vasilca in Bucharest today.
According to the Interior Ministry, the collaboration includes the exchange of experience, the training of specialists in the fields of cybersecurity and telecommunications, the development of applications and digital platforms, as well as awareness campaigns aimed at enhancing public trust in emergency services.
Officials say that, through this partnership, calls to 112 will be received more quickly, communications will become more secure and interventions will be carried out with modern technology and well-trained teams. In the long run, the project will strengthen protection against current risks and will transform 112 into a safer, more efficient service that is closer to the citizens.
