
Moldovan PM conveys condolences to Portuguese people
Chisinau, 18 June /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Pavel Filip today conveyed a message of condolences to his Portuguese counterpart, António Costa, in connection with the devastating forest fires occurred in recent days in Portugal, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
“We are deeply saddened that such an event has destroyed innocent lives, separated families and left deep traces in the souls of the survivors,” the message reads.
The premier expressed on behalf of the Moldovan government and on his own behalf sincere feelings of solidarity with the Portuguese people, and conveyed condolences to the relatives of the deceased and speedy recovery to the injured and affected by the fires and their consequences.
The latest data announced by the Portuguese government, the balance of the vegetation fire in central Portugal increased to 57 dead and about 60 injured.
