President met with new Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of United States
President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu had a meeting with new Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the United States Nick Pietrowicz, to whom she wished success in carrying out his mandate in our country.
The head of state expressed appreciation for the support provided by the United States to the Republic of Moldova over the last 30 years, including in the fields of energy, economic development, security and combating hybrid threats – support that has contributed to strengthening our country's status. President Sandu reiterated Moldova's interest in deepening the partnership with the United States for the benefit of the citizens of both countries.
Maia Sandu welcomed progress towards reconciliation in the South Caucasus, mediated by American President Donald Trump. Additionally, the head of state emphasized the importance of a just and durable peace in Ukraine and the region.
