Over 115 million lei to be allocated for mitigating consequences of natural disasters of June - September 2024

The localities affected by torrential rains, strong winds and hail from June-September 2024 will receive financial assistance over 115 million lei to recover the damages. Government approved a decision in this regard today.

 

The funds will be distributed to the regions of Rezina, Hîncești, Florești, Telenești, Ialoveni, Strășeni, Cantemir, and Leova, where massive infrastructure and private property damages were recorded due to torrential rains. 

 

About 114 million lei will be meant for the rehabilitation of damaged public roads, and another 331 thousand lei will be allocated for the repair of 21 buildings in the commune of Cania and the village of Stoianovca, Cantemir district.

 

The implementation of the project will be carried out by the local public administration authorities in the affected regions.
