Chisinau, May 21. /MOLDPRES/- More than 80 thousand citizens from the whole country participated today in the European Moldova Assembly, organized by the authorities at the initiative of President Maia Sandu. The people present in the Great National Assembly Square, as well as compatriots from 33 European cities, expressed their support for the European integration of our country, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Maia Sandu's speech reads that joining the European Union is the covenant of our generation - because Moldova is Europe.
"We, the people of this country, decide now and with no way back that the Republic of Moldova raises its head high and goes forward proudly, goes to the European Union. Moldova is our country, everyone's. I urge you to believe in our power to succeed. Let's have faith in the fact that our future is here, at home, and that our generation will bring Moldova into the European family", said Maia Sandu.
