Moldovan PM pays working visit to Ukraine: meeting with Ukrainian head of state, participation in International Economic Forum

Prime Minister Vasile Tofan is on a working visit to Kyiv, Ukraine, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister, Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Vladimir Bolea, Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatii, and Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu.

During the visit, the Moldovan PM will meet his Ukrainian counterpart, Serhiy Koretskyi. The two prime ministers will discuss strengthening bilateral relations, developing economic and trade cooperation, regional security and the European path of the two countries. The meeting will be followed by joint press statements. Together, the counterparts will lay flowers at the Wall of Remembrance of the Defenders Who Fell for Ukraine, paying tribute to those who lost their lives in the war.

The visit’s agenda also includes a meeting with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as well as a discussion with Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk.

At the same time, Prime Minister Vasile Tofan will participate, together with his Ukrainian counterpart, in the Kyiv International Economic Forum, dedicated to investment opportunities and the development of economic cooperation. Also, during the visit to Ukraine, the Moldovan PM will discuss the development of economic partnerships and the expansion of trade relations between the two countries with representatives of the business community.
