Alexandr Stoianoglo voted for "peaceful, modern and prosperous Moldova"
Chisinau, Oct. 20 /MOLDPRES/- Former Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo, a candidate for the head of state, cast ballots at today's polls. He came to the polling station with his family.
He said he voted for a peaceful, modern and prosperous Moldova.
"Moldova needs respect for citizens' rights regardless of ethnicity, age, political views and religion. All actions must be directed in the interest of the country and the people living here. Moldova must focus on domestic issues, promoting a balanced foreign policy with the EU, Russia, the US and China," he said.
The candidate noted that he did not take the ballot paper for the republican constitutional referendum, even though he supports the country's EU integration process.
Moldova is holding presidential elections and a republican constitutional referendum today. Eleven candidates are registered in the presidential race.
