
Delegation of national electoral authority pays study visit to Romania
Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/ - A delegation of the central electoral authority (CEC), led CEC deputy head Pavel Postica, pays a study visit to the Permanent Electoral Authority of Romania.
According to CEC representatives, the visit is a good opportunity to exchange experience with representatives of the counterpart institution of Romania, in order to improve the practices in the electoral sector. The main subjects of the discussion are focused in the implementation of information technologies in the electoral process and ensuring logistics on the voting day, control of financing of the political parties and the electoral campaigns, implementation of the alternative ways of voting, as well as ensuring the electoral rights for the special categories of voters.
The CEC deputy head, Pavel Postica, thanked the colleagues from the Permanent Electoral Authority of Romania for the openness showed and willingness to provide support in more fields.
At the same time, on the sidelines of the visit to Bucharest, the members of the Central Electoral Commission had a meeting with Charge d’affaires of Moldova’s Embassy in Romania Emil Jacota and representatives of the diplomatic mission.
The Central Electoral Commission and the Permanent Electoral Authority of Romania signed an agreement on cooperation in the electoral sector on 11 November 2019.
