Explosion in Crocmaz. Foreign Ministry condemns incident and recalls Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Moscow for consultations
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) firmly condemns the incident that occurred in Crocmaz, Ștefan Vodă district, where a drone‑missile type aircraft crashed and exploded. In this context, the institution is recalling the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Moscow for consultations.
According to the MFA, this incident represents a serious violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova, which endangered the safety of our citizens.
"The Republic of Moldova condemns the Russian Federation’s war of aggression against Ukraine and its consequences for the security of our country and the entire region," the MFA stated.
A powerful explosion occurred yesterday afternoon in the locality of Crocmaz, Ștefan Vodă district, followed by a vegetation fire. At the scene, fragments of a combat drone were found. No person was injured as a result of the object’s crash and the ensuing fire.
Odesa region was targeted during the night from Saturday to Sunday by a massive combined attack with drones and missiles launched by the Russian army.
