Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration meets Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Moldova

On 10 August 2026, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri held a meeting with Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Moldova Kazuyuki Takeuchi.

The discussions focused on current developments in the Transnistrian settlement process, the situation in the eastern districts of the country, as well as on the efforts of the authorities of the Republic of Moldova to promote a peaceful, gradual, and sustainable reintegration process, while respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova.

Chiveri expressed appreciation for Japan’s continued support to the Republic of Moldova in its modernization and development process, emphasizing the importance of further strengthening cooperation in various areas of common interest.
